From a mid-year tweak in our coverage areas to staff changes and more, one thing has stayed consistent: sports along the Front Range have continued to deliver some of the best stories of the year. But we couldn’t narrow it down to 10, so here are the 12 best sports stories of 2025!

CHSAA releases All-State football teams for 2025 season

BEST OF THE BEST — As schools shut down for Winter Break, championship football teams are still riding the high from the climax of the season in early December. Our area schools — Pomona in 3A, Dakota Ridge in 4A and Cherry Creek in 5A — all hoisted trophies.

But athletes across the state showcased their skills all season long, with many earning a spot on one of this year’s All-State teams from the Colorado High School Activities Association. Meet the athletes on the list below!
